Supplier Quality Requirements (11/11/2025)
ThermoKonnect
The following requirements apply based on the Purchase Order received from ThermoKonnect.
Shipment/DeliveryShipments or deliveries, as specified in a ThermoKonnect Purchase Order, shall be in accordance with the specified quantities and the specified schedules. Suppliers are encouraged to notify ThermoKonnect of any anticipated or actual delay.
ThermoKonnect furnished materialsAll materials furnished by ThermoKonnect are to be returned with the product upon completion of the order unless other arrangements have been made.
Manufacturer’s identificationSupplier must identify actual manufacturer on the packing sheet if the end item manufactured is a company other than themselves. The following information must be provided by the supplier on the packing sheet and as a label on individual packages: (1) part number, (2) lot number, (3) name of actual manufacturer, (4) date of manufacture.
Non-conforming materialFor material supplied to ThermoKonnect, supplier must notify ThermoKonnect of any nonconforming product and make arrangements for approval if submitting any nonconforming product.
Suppliershall ensure that all applicable requirements, including customer, regulatory, and special process requirements, are communicated to and applied by any sub-tier suppliers used in fulfillment of this order. Supplier is responsible for the quality and conformance of products and services provided by sub-tier suppliers.
Supplierto notify ThermoKonnect of changes in processes, products or services which are relevant to the goods supplied. All applicable requirements in the Purchase Order must be flowed down to the sub-tier suppliers.
Suppliers shall be compliant with AS9145 Advanced Product Quality Planning & Production Part Approval Process (APQP/PPAP) when developing designs for aviation, space, and defense industry.
Right of entrySupplier shall allow ThermoKonnect representatives, ThermoKonnect customers, statutory and regulatory agencies right of entry into the applicable areas of Supplier’s facilities and the entire supply chain to verify all processes and records.
QualitySupplier shall maintain an inspection system which will assure that all delivered products conform to Purchase Order requirements, whether manufactured or processed by the supplier or a sub-tier supplier. Supplier shall maintain controls and perform all inspections and tests required to substantiate product conformance to Purchase Order requirements. Specifications and other requirements must be completed to the latest revision. Supplier is required to notify ThermoKonnect of changes in product and/or process definition to obtain ThermoKonnect approval prior to such changes.
Boeing-special processorsAll Special Processors must adhere to quality management system that is compliant.to aerospace requirements (e.g. AS9100) or accredited to Nadcap as required by the end customer. If accreditation is revoked Processor must notify ThermoKonnect d immediately. If processing is completed prior to notification or there is a failure to notify, the Processor could be liable for any and all costs associated with order including but not limited to labor and material cost incurred on the order and any costs and expedite fee associated with recovery of the order. (Note: all processing for Boeing end user must adhere to the requirements of Approved Process Sources D1-4426. and must comply with all applicable PSD’s. Inspection and test equipmentSupplier shall maintain inspection and test equipment to assure calibration traceable to a known national or international standard. Calibration records must be maintained and made accessible to ThermoKonnect, if required.
Foreign object damageSupplier shall have an AS9146 conforming procedure in place and must be made accessible to ThermoKonnect. Supplier shall control and prevent foreign object damage or contamination during manufacture, assembly, inspection and/or shipment.
RecordsThe Supplier shall maintain records of work performed for ThermoKonnect. Records shall include the COC provided to ThermoKonnect as well as records that support the certificate. At any time during the retention period, at ThermoKonnect request, supplier will deliver said records, or any part thereof, to ThermoKonnect, at no additional cost the ThermoKonnect. Records must be maintained for a minimum of fifteen (15) years following the end of the calendar year in which the final entry was made. ITAR records are to be maintained for 10 years + 5 years after the expiration of ITAR Registration.
Certifications of ConformanceSupplier must ensure that individual parameters within a given specification have been met. Certifications must reflect that all applicable manufacturing and process specifications called for on the engineering drawing have been met. Certs must reflect batch/lot number and raw material supplier. All processing certifications must accompany finished goods and certs shall be traceable to the lot shipped to ThermoKonnect.
First article inspectionIf required by ThermoKonnect on the Purchase Order, first article inspections are to be recorded on form AS9102, current revision or on a form compliant with AS9102.
Calibration services onlyCalibration of inspection equipment shall be performed traceable to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) or other national or international standards. Certificates of Calibration shall be provided.
ChangesAny change to the requirements as stated on the Purchase Order must be approved by ThermoKonnect prior to taking action on those proposed changes. Suppliers change of location of the manufacturing facility and obtain ThermoKonnect approve before continuing with the manufacturing process.
Counterfeit parts programSuppliers shall have AS5553 conforming procedures in place to prevent the use of counterfeit products. If suspected counterfeit material is received, such items will be placed in quarantine until positive identification is made. If material is found to be counterfeit supplier shall promptly replace such items at suppliers’ expense.
Supplier to flow down to their supply chain:
a). applicable counterfeit avoidance and detection requirements to applicable contractors and their supply chain;
b). requirement for authorized distributors to disclose if they are not authorized for the EEE parts they are supplying;
c). requirement for exclusive suppliers to disclose if they cannot supply EEE parts they acquire directly from Authorized Sources.
Any knowing and willful act to falsify, conceal or alter a material fact, or any false, fraudulent or fictitious statement or representation in connection with the performance of work under this purchase order may be punishable in accordance with applicable legal statutes.Personnel competencyThermoKonnect may specify specific qualifications for personnel performing work related to the details of the Purchase Order provided. The supplier should be ready to provide evidence to ThermoKonnect if requested.
Personnel communicationSupplier is required to communicate with their personnel regarding the following:
- Their contribution to product or service conformity to requirements.
- Their contribution to product safety.
- The importance of ethical behavior.
